Long-Life Buddha Statue: Tibet, 20th Century 

This Buddha has many names depending on region of origin: In Tibet she is known as 'Ushnisha-Vijaya' and is an emanation of the Chinese Buddha 'Kwan-Yin’.

The triad representation is that of three Bodhisattva feminine deities: Ushnishavijaya of Longevity, White Tara of Wisdom and Protection, and Amitayus of Infinite Light.

Her three faces represent awakening and blessings into each realm. She holds instruments of Enlightenment:

A Double Vajra, the Buddha, an Arrow, a Lasso, a Bow and the Long-Life Vase while expressing the Charity Mudra.

Beautiful with powerful presence and wonderful detail. Cast in Copper and adorn with stones of auspicious turquoise. The bottom appears to have remained sealed.

Size: 7" high x 6.5" across x 3.5" deep.
